Play Party Prep Workbook
A free downloadable workbook for inspiration and guidance into opening up your intimate, kinky, and sexual exploration, connections + play.
It’s common to fantasize about all the ways we can explore creating pleasure, passion, and play with others. The fantasies will vary from person to person and place to place. How can we dive into these adventures while still moving from a place of consent, ethics, and safety? No matter if you’re new to the “scene” or if you’ve been exploring for a while, negotiations are great ways to open us up to a world of possibilities beyond our wildest imaginations.
I’m currently working on a more robust workbook and some other materials to support all things Adult Play - but I wanted to share this Play Party Prep Workbook that I’ve given out frequently following live classes + workshops and before/after play parties I’ve attended over the last year. It’s a great baseline for newbies to help you find a starting point to connecting with others intimately in ways you haven’t tried before (i.e. at a play party, adult club, or in group play or through kink/BDSM). It’s also a tool that can be used as a refresher or point of inspiration for the ones who’ve been in and around these spaces for a while.
When we center informed consent, ethical and safe play - the possibilities are limitless. Negotiations are simply conversations that invite us to be radically honest, open, and bold in our sharing. They give us space to ask directly for what we want, set firm and clear boundaries around what we would like to avoid, and provide space for exploration of the things we’re curious about but not 100% sure if it’s fully for us. When we practice the artistry of negotiation, we’re able to move more confidently and consensually into connection, pleasure, play, intimacy + sex. And they support those of us who may have a harder time asking questions, making requests, or saying no.
There’s no perfect formula or one way to do this. But I hope that this workbook supports you in starting or refining your journey. If you have any suggestions or additions to what is included, leave a comment below and share some of your own practices. If you have a resource you’d like to share with the community - email euni at hi@selfstudylab.com and we can consider including in the updated playbook that will come out later this year!
